Quay 1 works comprised the repairs to the existing quay by the construction of a new sheet pile quay wall and concrete hard standings. Works to anchor the new wall are required along with piling to support the new concrete hard standings.

Quay 2 works comprised the construction of approximately 180 linear metres of new quayside wall, consisting of sheet piling, associated steelwork, appropriate corrosion protection etc.

The sheet piles are likely to be be approx 13m in length and driven to a depth of circa -9m OD to allow for future dredging to circa -8.6m OD. Also included is the tie in to existing ground anchors, formation of a reinforced capping beams along the head of the new Quaywall and installation of inclined ground bars where required

Ground bearing overtopping slab incorporating a piled load bearing slab of approximately 47m long by 25m wide in addition to associated earthworks / groundworks, drainage and ducting to allow for the provision of utilities to the quayside

The RC load out slab will be approximately 180m x 30m x 0.750m and in addition to bearing piles may also require cement stabilised fill and finally the formation of mooring bollards and associated equipment along the length of Quayside 2 each with load capacity of up to 20T
